TripCheckPoints is built to help you plan and follow road trips. It is built with your privacy in mind: your data stays on your device, and we never collect, sell, or share personal information.
This policy explains exactly what data the app uses and why.
None. TripCheckPoints does not have a server or user account. We never see, store, or transmit any of your trips, stops, or location data.
The app stores the following on your iPhone, using Apple's standard on-device data framework:
This data never leaves your device. Deleting the app removes all of it.
TripCheckPoints requests access to your location for one purpose: to calculate distance and estimated travel time from your current position to each upcoming stop on an active trip.
To compute routes and ETAs, TripCheckPoints sends route requests to Apple's MapKit service (your current coordinates and your stop coordinates). Apple processes these requests under Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to these requests or their results beyond what Apple returns to the app on your device.
If you share a trip via the app's share feature, the trip data (name and stops) is encoded into a Universal Link URL. That URL is delivered through whatever channel you choose to send it (Messages, Mail, etc.). D4 Enterprises does not receive a copy of shared trips and does not log link usage.
TripCheckPoints does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs.
The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. It is safe for users of all ages.
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
